IBiSA is a government agency that was restored by the Minister of Public Health, Elderly Care and Sports. This institute was founded on June 1, 2012 to replace IDEFRE (Instituto di Deporte, Educacion Fisico y Recreacion). The main reason for this was to extend the tasks of IDEFRE and to include health promotion as well.

To achieve the objective of IBiSA, we help to coordinate, assist in and implement sports projects, such as running races, walks and sports days, organize school and inter-island sports competitions, give lectures on healthy living, healthy school and provide the service of the Health Bus in several districts, at schools, organizations and companies.
