De Directie Natuur en Milieu is een oveheidsinstelleing met de opgedragen taak: Het voorbereiden, vormgeven, ten uitvoer brengen en evalueren van beleid dat leidt tot een duurzame gezonde leefomgeving voor mens en natuur in Aruba waarbij centraal staat het behouden, beschermen en verbeteren van natuurlijke en milieukwaliteiten.

Purpose of the organization

The purpose of the Directorate of Nature and the Environment is to prepare, design, implement and evaluate government policy that leads to a sustainable and healthy living environment for human and nature in Aruba, focusing on the preservation, protection and improvement of natural and environmental qualities, and to determine that the DNM policy should create preconditions and opportunities that lead to it that the development of nature and the environment coexists harmoniously and sustainably with economic and social progress.
