Additional remarks: Hearing impairments (deafness) are not that visible to the majority of the people; the community does not take these persons into consideration. As a result, this group faces many obstacles making it difficult for them to develop and participate in our community. The threshold to form part of the community is very high for hearing-impaired persons, and they are being discriminated against. There hardly is any information both within our community and within the community of the hearing-impaired persons themselves. Our foundation provides support in various areas. F.E.D.A.A. acts as "THE BRIDGE" and makes every effort to facilitate the participation, acceptance and integration of the hearing-impaired persons within our community.
