Volunteer Jobs
Fundacion Pro Lechi Mama Aruba was established on January 30, 2002, with the object of promoting breastfeeding in Aruba. We do this only with volunteers. We offer the following services:
Providing information to (future) parents about breast milk and providing support when breastfeeding;
Providing information to working mothers who breastfeed their child and to their employers about the right to combine breastfeeding and work. If necessary, we can also act as an intermediary between the employee and the employer in case of a dispute;
Providing information to employees about health issues to help them continuing to breastfeed;
Making the community aware of the importance of breastfeeding and promoting laws that help providing women with the best possibilities to breastfeed their child.
PLM is continuously looking for funds to finance these activities.
Purpose of the organization
According to the articles, the objects of PLM are:A. To provide information to (future) parents about breast milk and to provide support when breastfeeding;
B. To provide information to employees about health issues to help them continuing to breastfeed;
C. To make the community aware of the importance of breastfeeding and to promote laws that assist in providing women with the best possibilities to breastfeed their child.
PLM is continuously looking for funds to finance these activities by means of fundraising and appreciates donations.
