Scol Caiquetio is a school for special education. When a child does not function at the level required by a regular elementary school, and its performance at school is not optimal because of intelligence and maturity, behavior, social and emotional problems and home environment, the Department of Education will test the child. If it turns out that the child has to attend a school for special education to help it in its development, the parents have to decide to do so. Many people still have the wrong idea that schools for special education are for children that cannot learn and that are less appreciated. However, at a school for special education, each pupil will be given due attention, and we can guarantee that, over time, the parents will see a positive change in their child.
Scol Caiquetio is a Catholic school falling under S.K.O.A. Scol Caiquetio is a caring and loving school. Scol Caiquetio uses as a starting point the five values: responsibility, respect, trust, love and family to create a school that cares for and loves others for all our children.

Purpose of the organization

Mission: To educate people with certain intellectual disabilities harmoniously and with respect and love and based on the values of our culture, so that they can develop in accordance with their capacities into responsible people within our community.
Vision: Based on quality education, our school acts as a guide to bring about optimal integration within our community.
